1. Comfortable and respectful practice attire. (No cut-off shirts/tank tops) 2. Black shorts (spandex/regular shorts) or leggings for games 3. White knee pads for games 4. Pair of court/tennis shoes (no running shoes) 5. Elbow pads are optional, though may help players feel comfortable diving on the court.
We will be working with athletic trainers from Olmsted Medical Center Sports Medicine and Athletic Performance on Strength & Conditioning Training as a required part of our fall season.
During the off-season/summer, it is STRONGLY encouraged (not required) for the players to attend workouts during the off-season and summer skills & drills practices. If they cannot attend workouts at school, it is strongly encouraged they continue to work on their fitness on their own.
The coaching staff strongly encourages and believes in the benefits of this program! We have already seen significant growth and improvement in our athletes that have chosen to participate, and we hope that with continued dedication, our volleyball players will feel stronger, have less injuries, be able to hit the volleyball harder, and be able to jump higher.
